Beat 4
Officer Chad Petty

July 2010
This month I met three new beat contacts. I met with Theresa Hernandez at her house. Ms. Hernandez she has lived in the neighborhood for years. Ms. Hernandez advised me her husband is retired and she is working at Shipley’s. Ms. Hernandez informed me she does not have any complaints at this time. I made contact with Jesse Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez stated he has noticed the foot traffic picking back up on Maiden Ln. Mr. Rodriguez stated during the late hours of the night people are standing on the street and walking around the neighborhood. I informed Mr. Rodriguez I would patrol the area more frequently and pass the information to other officers. I supplied Mr. Rodriguez with my business card and advised him to call the police whenever he sees any suspicious activity or if he ever has any questions. I also met with Billy Williams. Mr. Williams informed me he did not have any problems or questions at this time.
During the month of July, there were a few burglaries of a motor vehicle in Lamar Park apartments. I conducted several foot patrols in Lamar Park apartments and found 5 unsecured vehicles in the parking lot. I also located 3 open garage doors of residences. I made contact with the home owners of the open garage and they were able to secure their garage doors. I also conducted several property checks at the schools and businesses throughout the city. I did not locate any street lights that were out in my beat. I picked up approximately 11 bandit signs that were posted illegally in the city.
I made contact with my sex offender Jeffery Mayberry. Mr. Mayberry informed me all his information is still current and updated.
